Living Victoriously in Difficult Times

I'm looking forward to this new study and pray that it will affect us and transform us.  I pray that when we come to the end of it, we will be stronger and more courageous women of faith.  I pray that we will stand firm in the things we know to be true.  I pray that even though our circumstances have not changed, we have because we have seen Him.

I wanted to post some quotes by one of our favorite teachers to remind us that God doesn't waste anything and He builds on things He has already taught us.  So let's remember some of these quotes by Piper because they fit perfectly with this new study we're embarking on.

“It is more loving for God to show us His glory, than to keep us from suffering.”

“Suffering is not only the price you will have to pay in the pathway of obedience sustained by joy in God, suffering is also designed by God to intensify your joy in him."

"God is most glorified in us, when we are most satisfied in Him.
Especially when we maintain joy in Him in suffering."

“Love really shines as beautiful when you press on loving others
even when it’s really hard and really costly.”

“Oh that there would be no wasted pain!”

Ladies, let us remember that "...we endure for the sake of the coming city!"  Let's persevere together by:
  • studying His Word
  • by memorizing and meditating on it
  • by encouraging one another to love and good deeds
  • by listening to each other
  • loving one another
  • praying and standing in the gap for one another

On that day that we behold Him with our eyes, it WILL have been worth it all!  Let's encourage each other with this truth.

“So Jesus also suffered outside the gate in order to sanctify the people through his own blood.  Therefore let us go to him outside the camp and bear the reproach he endured.  For here  we have no lasting city, but we see the city that is to come.”
~Hebrew 13:12-14

“Endure for the sake of the coming city!”

  1. Wow. Amazing that this last post was 2 years ago! I'm just testing to see if the site still gives me issues posting. I'm hoping not. :)
